3 Tips For Skin Firming

One of the more neglected things that people seem to continue to ignore is that of the skin. The dermal tissue abounds all over, and if you don't keep up with it, you'll find that the signs of aging catches up with you faster than you can reverse it. Just because things start to sag, wrinkle, and cause disdain, doesn't meant that it's impossible to gain a semblance of hope. If you want to tighten things up, you'll want to adhere to a few select tips for skin firming. If you're serious, and don't want to go through a pharmaceutical solution or even a surgery, than pay attention to what the natural world has to offer. Nature has more to offer in this department than you may know and it could be a huge help.
Stick To A Good Exercise Program
This may not sound like fun, but it's one way to ensure longevity, flexibility, and more. The benefits that come alongside this are endless. People of all backgrounds can testify to the benefits of getting into a routine of good movement. This helps with skin firming as the body starts to lose weight. When you shed excess fat and toxins, the deposits that used to house toxins causing fat flatten out. When the connective tissue continually gets worked on, it starts to create definition, and the result of that is skin tightening and firming. A regular exercise regime is vital to your health and well-being, but can also improve the quality of your skin. Continue working out and you'll be impressed by the results.
Wrap Your Problem Areas
There is a wrapping solution known as the ultimate body applicator. You can purchase this item and place it on your problem areas. It is a non-woven cloth that has been infused with a variety of essential oils, natural moisturizers, and other 100% natural elements that helps create cellular generation. When this is utilized on a regular basis, the cells start to regrow and become stimulated at the molecular level. This helps with skin firming on a whole new level and will completely showcase results in conjunction with working out. These items are part of a natural solution and regimen that millions have been starting to wake up to, and it's a matter of balancing the body's natural elements and the best from nature.
Consider Lifestyle Elements
Alongside the above tips that will help you get results, you should also avoid certain things. Try to stay out of the sun for too long, and avoid tanning for some time. Make sure that you use a good moisturizer, and do not let your skin dry out. Use the wraps, exercise, and eat a balanced diet as part of all of this. If you can do that and sustain it for some time, problem areas will disappear and you'll have the body you've always dreamed of.

Dry Hair Shampoo and Anti-Frizz Recipes - All From Your Pantry

Here are two basic ones, containing organic ingredients easily found. Treat your hair to some beneficial goodness!
Shampoo for dry hair
Is your hair drier than the Sahara desert? If that is the case, then this simple shampoo recipe is sure to help restore and seal moisture into your locks. Here is a bit of interesting information about the ingredients it contains.
Liquid Castile Soap: Castile soap is an organic soap containing olive oil. Olive oil is the fat extracted from olives and is a fantastic food for the body, hair and skin. As an aliment, it has many health benefits. For the skin, it can be a treatment for pimples, and can even be applied in ointments to treat diaper rashes. in omega-6-fatty acids, it deeply moisturizes the hair altogether, and bounds the moisture.
Vegetable Glycerine: Also known as Glycerol, it is a fat extracted from plants. It is generally put as a product sweetener, and is found in many pharmaceutical and makeup products. What makes vegetable glycerine so fantastic for hydrating hair is that it is a hygroscopic substance, or a humectant. That is to say, it absorbs moisture from the air and locks it in your hair.
Aloe Vera Gel: Aloe vera has been known as a medicinal plant since the first century AC. It is known for its moisturizing and healing properties.
Avocado Oil: Avocado is a fruit coming from a tree that grows in Mexico and Central America. Well-endowed in monounsaturated fats, potassium, folic acid, fiber and various vitamins, it has numerous health and cosmetic benefits. As far as hair is concerned, avocado is highly good at nourishing and refreshing its moisture.
Now on to our recipe!
Ingredients
1/4 cup liquid castile soap
1/4 cup organic aloe vera gel
1 teaspoon pure vegetable glycerin
1/4 teaspoon organic avocado oil or another light organic vegetable oil

Frizzy hair no more!
Hair problems never come in singles, but rather are always in multiples. As a consequence, with rough hair ofttimes comes frizz. Here is a recipe which will not fail to de-frizz your hair-do.
Honey: Honey is an organic food made by bees using flower nectar. It is used in foods, in cosmetics and in pharmaceuticals, as its anti-septic and anti-bacterial abilities are famous. Likewise, honey has hygroscopic abilities, meaning it absorbs moisture directly from the air. This is useful for frizzy hair, because frizz is to a certain degree caused by dryness.
Almond Oil: Almonds arise from a tree originating from the Middle East and South Asia. Almond oil, taken from its seeds, is rich in monounsaturated oleic acid, linoleic acid and saturated fatty acid. It is an effective emollient for the skin and hair and acts to condition the hair as well as keep frizz at bay.
Ingredients
1/2 cup good organic hair conditioner
1/4 cup pure honey
1 tablespoon organic almond oil
Directions
1. Carefully mix and blend everything together.
2. Spray your hair with a water mister to moisten it.
3. Work combination through the hair thoroughly.
4. Leave on for 20 minutes.
5. Wash.
With these two basic Do-it-yourself hair products, you are well armed to defeat dry hair and frizz throughout the winter along with other periods of the year. And the best thing? You know exactly what's being put on your head and can make it on your own at home in only a few minutes! Enjoy!!!!

Natural Homemade Deodorant

VERY IMPORTANT IN UNDERSTANDING BODY ODOR
The amount of smell you produce in your body odor determines the amount of toxins in your gut and body (as well as if you have bad breath, foul gas, bowel movements and urine). To help with bad body odor THE FIRST STEP is to take a high quality probiotic supplement as well as a digestive enzyme. These will help to balance your gut and improve your bodies efficiency of riding itself of toxins. If you smell bad throw away your toxic deodorant and START taking probiotics and digestive enzymes.
"Solid" Deodorant
What You Will Need:
6 Tablespoons Organic Coconut Oil
1/4 Cup Organic Corn Starch
1/4 Cup Baking soda (WARNING!!! Many believe that Arm and Hammer Baking Soda is contaminated with aluminum even though the company that makes it claims it does not. It has been confirmed that there is aluminum free baking sodas like Bob's Red Mill Baking Soda. If you have any information on this please add it to the comment section below.)
Tea Tree, Lemon, Orange, Lavender, Or Rosemary essential oil
*Optional; 2 Tablespoons Beeswax (this helps to keep the deodorant in a more solid state when the weather is warm. If you leave this out store your deodorant in a mason jelly jar rather than a deodorant stick.)
Mix all ingredients well and use as needed.
Liquid Deodorant
What You Will Need:
4oz reverse osmosis or distilled water
4oz Lemon Juice
1 tablespoon baking soda
10 drops essential oil of choice
1 tablespoon pink himalayin salt
Mix hot water, baking soda and salt until dissolved. Add lemon juice and essential oil. Store in a small mist spray bottle. Use as needed.
I like to use a combination of these two recipes. I usually only spray the liquid deodorant when I get out of the shower. Sometimes I need the solid deodorant but most times I only use one.
Remember the amount of smell you produce in your body odor determines the amount of toxins in your gut and body (as well as if you have bad breath, foul gas, bowel movements and urine). To help with bad body odor THE FIRST STEP is to take a high quality probiotic supplement as well as a digestive enzyme. These will help to balance your gut and improve your bodies efficiently of riding itself of toxins. If you smell bad START with probiotics and digestive enzymes.

Importance Of Home Spa Treatment

Say Goodbye to Dead Skin Cells - 5 DIY Body Scrub Recipes

Maintaining good skin takes a lot of work. Every time you hop in the shower, you find the bathroom cabinet stuffed with beauty products. From moisturizing shampoos and soothing shaving creams to body butter and fruity face washes, you name it and the cabinet has it. In all the clutter, do you really need yet another beauty product to cram your shelf? If you do not have a good body scrub then the answer is YES. Body scrub adds youthful glow to your skin, removes dead skin cells, and tightens your skin. You do not necessarily have to splurge big bucks on body scrub; with simple ingredients found around the home, you can prepare your own personalized scrub. Here are 5 great body scrubs you can prepare at home.
Olive Oil Scrub
Here is a simple, yet effective means to reinvigorate your skin. Take ¼ cup of olive oil, ½ cup of brown sugar, ½ cup of grounded oatmeal and a few drops of essential oils such as almond or lavender. Whisk all the ingredients together until they blend well. Don't blend the ingredients into a smooth paste; the concoction needs to be a little coarse to work well as a scrub. Pour it in an airtight container and store it in a dry place for three weeks. Use a quarter-sized amount of scrub every week. It will slough off the dead skin and also reduce blemishes.
Vanilla Scrub
Who doesn't like the candy smell of vanilla? It's the ultimate way to treat your senses. In 2 minutes flat, you can have your very own personal vanilla brown sugar scrub ready. Take 1 cup brown sugar, ½ cup almond oil, ½ tablespoon nourishing vitamin E oil and 1 tablespoon vanilla extract. Pour the ingredients together, give them a thorough whip and you are good to go. Not only will you smell deliciously sweet all day long, but your skin will feel baby soft too.
Banana Scrub
Bananas can do wonders for your skin. Mix 1 ripe banana with 3 tablespoons of granulated sugar and ¼ tablespoon of essential oil; mash the ingredients together. Take care not to over mash the banana, as it needs to be stubbly and not gooey. Lather it liberally all over your skin. Let it sit for 20 minutes. Once your skin starts to stretch, scrub it clean. The banana scrub will work the dirt out without leaving the skin dry or sore.
Coconut Scrub
Coconut oil can have a miraculous effect on your skin. It removes dead cells and lightens acne while intensely moisturizing your skin. Take 2 cups of organic coconut oil, 1 cup Epsom salt and 20 drops of pure lavender oil. Mix the ingredients together until they blend well. Store the concoction in an airtight container until it is ready to use. This scrub is unlike any other; you will get the soothing effect of lavender oil, the moisturizing effect of coconut oil and magnesium boost of Epsom salt all rolled in one.
Minty Cocoa Lip Scrub
When your body is getting so much pampering, why should your lips be any different? Take 1 tablespoon ultra fine sugar, ¼ tablespoon cocoa powder, 1 tablespoon jojoba oil with 1 or 2 drops of mint oil. Mix all the ingredients together, whisk them well and store it in a container. Use it regularly for beautiful smooth lips.
Try different ingredients to find a perfect scrub for your skin. Treat yourself to a day spa ever so often for that added glow.

Perfect Lips

Nothing impresses your friends more than a perfect lip line, because it is the hardest makeup application to do.To get it, avoid applying the lip pencil too heavily, which will be difficult to blend and soften into the lipstick. Keeping your mouth closed lightly trace the lip line with the lip pencil so it can barely be seen, but can be used as a guide line.
Hold the brush horizontally to trace along the lip line, and do a little bit at a time, backing up and going over it again. Don't try to get the whole line in one stroke. The best lip brush is a sable with a slightly tapered edge, not straight one.
This provides more control and a cleaner line.If you are really pressed for time, apply lipstick only on the bottom lip and press your lips together. Then, blend out to the lip line with the edge of a lip brush, not the tip, for a precise line, or use a dampened cotton swab for a soft, natural lip line.
When finished, instead of blotting the lips by biting a tissue, lay the tissue across both lips while your mouth is closed. This will imprint your lips, including the edges of the mouth where lipstick usually bleeds. Perfect!

ALMONDS!!!!...Wow!!

These days natural and organic products have been very popular and have been gradually increasing the demands in the market, ranging from beauty, health and fitness benefits. Not everyone is fond of natural products; almost the majority still prefers synthetic products. Not that there's something wrong with it, after all it is still beneficial for the body and serves the same purpose as the natural products. But not everyone is aware of natural products whole benefits.
Like almonds, almond oil is one of the most leading and popular products in the market. Especially for its hair and skin care benefits, though not everyone is aware of its other benefits. Aside from beauty benefits, it has more nutritional contents than many other products. Almond oil is great for the skin because of its oleic and linoleic acid content. It can be used as sun protection and remedy for some skin allergies and inflammation. The advantage with almond oil over synthetic skin products is that it has more nutrients content and more usage than a regular skin product.
For acne treatment you will need 1 tablespoon of honey, 1 tablespoon of almond oil and a half of avocado. Mix the ingredients, apply on face and let it for about 15 minutes.
For aging skin and wrinkles you will need 2 tablespoons of almond oil, 1 tablespoon of lanolin, 2 tablespoons of cod liver oil, chamomile tea, and a plastic bottle. Apply the mixture in a thin layer on the face.
In order to treat under eye circles, you will need only almonds. Apply the oil over the dark circles and gently massage it.
Aside from skin benefits, it can also prevent heart diseases, itchiness, muscle pain, regulates your cholesterol level, and enhance your body's immune system. You can also include them in your daily diet. You'd be surprise on its results and effect to your body performance.
There are also other almond products out there that you can use it, such as almond milks and sweet almonds. They all provide quality nutrients to your body. Almond milk is a great alternative for soy milk, rice milk, and other milk products. Especially for those who are lactose intolerant and suffering from gluten allergies, and it doesn't contain saturated fats or cholesterol unlike other milk products.
Take note that almond milk has more nutrients than regular milk, even with soy milks and rice milks. Almond milk is high in protein and contains omega-3 fatty acids, and it is also low in calories unlike other milks.

Hey friends!!..yesterday i and my friend had an awesome chocolatey facial mask at salon..It was fabulous !!! .I had asked them for the recipe ,at first they had refused to say but I and my friend requested ....they agreed !!..... yay!!

UFFF!!!!...This Dandruff

CAUSES OF DANDRUFF

Although the cause of dandruff is not completely understood, it is currently theorized that one of the main causes is a breakdown of the scalps natural lipid barrier, leaving it more exposed to infection by the microscopic yeast that is commonly found in the scalp. When the yeast overgrows, it leads to an inflammatory response that kills off scalp cells at a high rate, which in turn slough off in sticky patches and flakes.

The condition is identified by:

- White or clear flakes on the scalp, through the hair, and on clothing.

- Itchy scalp which may be red and inflamed.

Some young teens find they develop dandruff when they hit puberty because their hygiene habits haven’t changed to meet the challenges of newly accelerated sebum production.

Stress, poor hygiene and poor diet can make the scalp more susceptible to dandruff. High sugar foods in particular are known to exacerbate yeast infections.

The hair should be brushed regularly to loosen flakes and stimulate blood supply to the scalp, which will accelerate the natural immune response to infection.

TREATING DANDRUFF

There are few habits you can develop and natural treatments you can use to treat dandruff.

Nutrition: An excess of sugar in the diet can exacerbate any yeast infection. Try reducing your intake of all sugars and refined starches while treating for dandruff.

Cleansing: Massage your scalp thoroughly with your fingertips when shampooing. This will help loosen and remove any dead skin flakes and help prevent the infection from continuing. Wash your hair daily until the infection is cleared up.

Conditioning: Use a protective hair condition on the ends of hair only. Avoid getting conditioner on your scalp where it can clog pores and interfere with healing of the skin.

Other Treatments:

- Massage: Massaging your scalp several times a day with the pads of the fingers only will stimulate blood supply to the hair follicles and help loosen the dead skin flakes.

- Brushing: Brushing your hair thoroughly on a daily basis will help loosen and remove dead skin flakes, increase the smooth flow of sebum along the hair shaft, and increase blood supply to the hair follicles.

- Wash Hands After Brushing and Grooming Hair: Fungal infections of the skin are highly contagious, and it is easy to reinfect and spread to other areas of the body. This is why it’s important to wash your hair daily and to brush out any loose dandruff flakes – so that healthy areas of the scalp will not be infected. Washing your hands after brushing, massaging and grooming your hair will also help prevent reinfection or cross infection.

The following herbs and nutrients have been shown to reduce dandruff infections:

Natural Internal Treatments for Dandruff

Alpha-Lipoic Acid, Vanadyl Sulfate, Gynema Sylvestre and Chromium are all natural regulators of blood sugar levels. The can help prevent feeding the infection by keeping blood sugar levels normalized.

Olive Leaf and Oregano Leaf are both natural systemic antifungal agents.

Natural External Treatments for Dandruff

The following herbs can be used as a tonic for reducing fungal infections on a topical basis. Extracts of these herbs or a several drops of their essential oils dissolved in aloe vera gel or witch hazel can greatly relieve the symptoms of itching and flaking in dandruff. Tea tree oil is particularly effective against fungal and bacterial infections.

5 Steps to Clear Skin

Step One: Reduce excess oil secretion
Accutane is a derivative of vitamin A and reduces the secretion of oil by the oil glands.
Foods that supply the body with Vitamin A and beta-carotene (which is converted to vitamin A by the body) include: Liver, oily fish, whole eggs, carrots, sweet potatoes, and broccoli.
Step Two: Encourage extreme shedding of the skin
Using a peel is the easiest method to promote shedding of the skin. Exfoliation releases the build-up of dead skin cells, oils and bacteria trapped in the pores, which could lead to the formation of blemishes.
Extreme peels
Peels come in varying degrees, from mild to harsh. The trichloroacetic acid (TCA) peel is an extreme peel that can cost from $100 to $1000 depending on the degree of the treatment. It is only performed in a doctor's office. The TCA is not a save all however. The peel can make the skin sensitive to the sun cause hyper-pigmentation.
Home use peels
Several over-the-counter peels contain papaya enzymes or glycolic acid. These peels lightly exfoliate the skin and are safe for weekly use.
Step Three: Reduce the spread of bacterial infection
Using an astringent such as witch hazel or apple cider vinegar to disinfect the skin significantly reduces the presence of bacteria on the face. This reduction limits skin inflammation and the likelihood of a pimple developing.
Step Four: Enhance Fat Metabolism
Free fatty acids can irritate the skin and provoke acne eruptions. Reducing intake of foods containing hydrolyzed fats will improve fat metabolism. However, do consume essential fatty acids such as Omega-3 and Omega-6, which are found in foods such as salmon and olive oil. These essential fats aid the gastrointestinal tract eliminate pro-inflammatory substances, which reduces the possibility of experiencing acne lesions.
Step Five: Reduce inflammation
A strong immune system serves as a buffer against inflammation. Stress reducing activities such as exercising, eating a well-balanced diet and sleeping well boosts the immune system. A diet supplemented with B-Complex, zinc and vitamins C and E likewise enhances the effectiveness of the immune system.
These steps work via creating a bodily environment that is not conducive to acne. By adhering to the nutritional and aesthetic steps above, anyone can attain clear skin while simultaneously augmenting their health.

Create A Home Spa

Here are 10 personal little home spa tips that will make you look and feel like a million bucks!
Squeeze in a few extra minutes to your every day self care time and you’ll see how easily these step by step pampering recommendations will turn even the toughest days around. Or if you can negotiate a few minutes here and there from your day to get even more time…by all means… do it! Your family, friends and co-workers will meet a much happier, more chipper, fantastically refreshed you!
In Preparation:
First things, first. No shopping, buying or leaving the house. Scour the house for a few fun spa essentials and make a decadent ‘Home Spa Day’ just with what you have tucked away!
Why put off what you could be doing right now?! I suppose if you are out and about and feel so inclined to pick up special bath salts, moisturizers or essential oils… so be it. I admire your level of commitment!
- Grab your robe and slippers
- Find a soothing CD that you absolutely love
- Scented candle
- A washcloth, loofah, bath brush or a new scrubbie back there in the drawers you forgot about
- Fluffy cotton towel
- Bath salts or essential aromatic oils (if you have them)
- Your cleansers, toners and moisturizers
- Coarse sea salt
- Plenty of chilled spring water (with a splash of lime or lemon) in the fanciest glass you can find
- Steep a cup of green tea
Let go of your day… your obligations… responsibilities… stress… and strain. Toss out the barrage of thoughts streaming through your mind (even if it’s just for a moment). Trust me... they’ll still be around later for you to poke at, ponder or peruse.
Try to relax. Take yourself on a far away vacation in your head, tell yourself a “Once Upon A Time” story, remind yourself what a princess you are and remember how essential these precious moments are to your happiness and sanity!
Welcome To Your At Home Spa Vacation!
1. Take it easy and slow down your breath, your thoughts and your movements. Put on your favorite CD and start prepping a very simple shower or bath in a wonderfully slow, deliberate and unhurried way. Take time to watch the candle burn, smell the fragrance, feel the soft robe or towels, look at the sparkling drops of water and run your hands through it… take in the joyful process of an every day activity that we just fly through without a second thought!
2. Use essential oils. Not only do they smell great, but they are extremely good for your skin. The rule to applying essential oils is to never apply them directly on your face or skin. Just add about five drops to a bowl of warm water. Soak a washcloth in the water and then apply to your face and neck as a compress for five minutes. Repeat three times. Gently towel dry and finish yourself off with an anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory facial splash.
If you have a choice of essential oils to choose from, select one that suits your mood and purpose. If you are desparking the stress level this holiday, choose soothing oils (like lavender, chamomile, jasmine, sandalwood and ylang-ylang). Good revitalizing and energizing oils when you need them are peppermint, eucalyptus, rosemary, basil and juniper. The aroma can also provide psychological and physical benefits too!
Essential oils can help with physical conditions, rejuvenate the skin, eliminate waste, alleviate stress, enhance your mood, restore vitality and facilitate the regeneration of new, healthy cells.
3. Basic Body Scrub and Cleansing If you decided you only have time for an indulgent, relaxing shower… start with a basic body scrub and cleansing. I found this fabulous new product called Spongeables (www.spongeables.com). It’s a soap and a sponge all in one. It lasts for a full month of frothy fragrant showering. My favorite fragrance is fresh lavender… and they have them fragrance free too if that’s more your style.
Whatever sponge, cloth or brush you decide on… scrub mindfully and only gently brush your skin. Gentle circular motions will increase your circulation and eliminate toxins and excess water.
Another in home spa trick is to mix an ounce of ground sea salt with 10 or so drops of your favorite essential oil. Add water and make a paste so it spreads easily. Apply it to your entire body and slough off the dead skin with big circular strokes. This salt scrub will exfoliate dead skin cells, cleanse the pores and help your body get rid of any toxins.
4. Draw a bath. Add 5 to 10 drops of an essential oil to bath salts. Grab an extra pillow, put a kitchen trash bag over it to keep it dry and then put a pillow case over that. You just bought yourself 10 extra comfy minutes in the bath tub. You might as well take a book too! Follow it with a warm shower and a dry yourself off with a fluffy cotton towel. If someone in the house really loves you… get them to toss it in the dryer for 5 minutes and greet you with fluffy warmth. If you have a body toning lotion handy, apply to your body (not your face) for additional firming and toning so you’ll look even better in that little black dress.
5. Be nice to yourself. These are your precious rejuvenating moments. Take your time. Pamper yourself and try not to get caught up in the have-to’s and the should-do’s. Don’t be in a rush. Not only will you lose some of the benefits of this quality time to refresh and relax, you may start sloughing off and using rough, damaging strokes.
6. Hurrying has its risks. Without slow, mindful, attentive movements, you could cause inflammation and jeopardize that fresh, healthy, glowing complexion that will make you a bright shining super star. You can actually accelerate the aging process by being too rough! Now there’s a good enough reason in and of itself to slow down.
7. Care for your hair. It is taking a beating in these winter elements. Add ¼ ounce of lavender to sixteen ounces of shampoo. Or for oily hair, add ¼ ounce of lemongrass or rosemary to 16 ounces of shampoo. Essential oils can make invigorating scalp massages. Rosemary is awesome! If you decide not to use the oils, make sure you at least give yourself a long, sudsy scalp massage. Close your eyes, lay your head back and drift for a moment.
8. Replenish lost moisture to your skin and hair this winter by taking two tablespoons of organic flaxseed oil twice a day. You’ll get rid of the itchies and combat wrinkles and sagging skin.
9. Treat your fabulous face. All the treatments above were just for your bod. Your face is special and delicate. The skin on your face is thinner and more fragile than your body. Treat your face with extreme care and gentleness. Even though it’s cold avoid extremely hot water, harsh soaps or any drying cleansers.
Grab a new wash cloth or small sea sponge, add a few drops of your favorite cleanser (preferably an anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory liquid cleanser) and then rinse thoroughly with warm water. Apply face firming treatment then put an ice cube inside of a small plastic bag and gently rub over the face and eye area for several minutes to tone and plump up the skin.
10. Rejuvenate from the inside

How To Give A Manicure- At Home

This guide will give you the basic directions for nail care, however, it cannot provide the same direction and hands-on experience offered by a Professional School of Cosmetology.
SUPPLIES:
1 - Nail scissors
2 - Small tray, about the size of a soap dish
3 - Gentle dishwashing detergent or other skin softening, bubbly liquid (such as some bubble bath products)
4 - Warm water
5 - Two to three hand towels
6 - Moisturizer or Hand Lotion with Aloe Vera, Cocoa Butter or similar ingredient to condition skin
7 - Clear Base Coat Nail Polish
8 - Colored Nail Polish
9 - Top Coat Nail Polish
10 - Small lamp or other radiant source of light
11 - Table or desk so that, when seated, your arms can easily extend across from the relaxed position of a comfortable chair
12 - Hair dryer or similar device (not required)
13 - Cotton swabs
STEPS:
1 - Fill tray with warm water and sudsy liquid (the trick is to add water at just the right temperature so it will soften skin without being too hot to the touch)
2 - Place one hand in tray and let it soak for several minutes
3 - If you're giving someone else a manicure, you can use oil or moisturizer to massage one hand while the other one is soaking
4 - Remove soaking hand and pat dry with hand towel
5 - Place other hand in tray to soak for several minutes
6 - While the second hand is soaking, you should carefully begin trimming cuticles that form around the edges of the nail itself (NOTE: Pay close attention to what you're doing, so you don't cut too close and end up causing skin to bleed. If you take your time and trim slowly with tiny strokes, you should be fine.)
7 - If your timing is perfect, you will be finished cutting the cuticles on that hand before the first hand gets wrinkled from being in the warm water too long. (Tip: Don't try to hurry the cuticle trimming process to make your timing work. Instead try to remember to check on the soaking hand half-way through the course of cutting cuticles. If the water is cold or the hand shows hints of wrinkling skin, that's your cue to stop the soaking operation and pat hand dry with hand towel, apply some lotion and go back to the trimming procedure.)
8 - When you have completed trimming cuticles on both hands, you should make sure all loose skin is removed from nail area. Begin to polish nails with clear base coat by applying a thin layer as smoothly and carefully as possible. Try to keep polish on nails only. If you accidentally apply too much or get extra polish on skin around nails, use a cotton swab dipped lightly in nail polish remover to correct your mistake.
9 - After applying base coat to both hands, choose polish color and repeat previous procedure beginning with the same hand you started with last time. Follow guidelines described above to produce best results.
10 - The next application will be a top coat to create a seal or protection for colored polish. Repeat previous steps to ensure success in this process. Remember less is better when it comes to nail polish. Thick layers lead to messy results.
11 - You have two choices to complete this process and make your manicure last.
(1) You can dry nails with a blow dryer or similar device set on slow speed at a moderate temperature. You should keep hands positioned under heat source for at least three minutes and then sit still, touch nothing, and wait for another minute or two to avoid smudges or smears that will ruin your efforts.
(2) You can skip the dryer process and sit still, touch nothing and wait for at least five minutes to creating lasting results that will make your manicured nails look their best
